Job Description:Position SummaryProvides overall direction and management of multiple Commercial Renewable Sites, including full P&L responsibility, compliance, safety, environmental performance, operational execution, and business performance for assigned assets. Provides strategic direction and leadership to site teams and ensures operational excellence through effective planning, budgeting, workforce management, process improvement, and outage performance. Partners with Inventory Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to ensure warehouse operations, materials readiness, inventory coordination, and procurement support activities are aligned with site priorities, budget expectations, compliance requirements, and operational risk needs. Serves as the site escalation point for material availability, warehouse support, vendor, procurement, and inventory-related risks that may impact safety, reliability, outage readiness, financial performance, or restoration of critical operations.
This position is located in Blackwell, Oklahoma at our Frontier I and II wind farms.Responsibilities- Provides strategic direction for and manages the design, operation, and business performance of Commercial Assets Sites. These sites are generally limited to less than 750 MW and less than 50 FTEs. Provides operating model oversight including field visits and reviews. Interacts and provides substantive direction and information to public and private sector stakeholders, including local community leaders, asset landowners, and project lenders
- Ensures O&M and capital budgets are appropriately allocated, managed, and implemented for the Commercial Renewable project in their portfolio. Ensures all projects provide an adequate return on investment or significant value to the company, including assuring that the proper revenue and O&M projections are updated and achieved
- Develops a workforce plan to address site staff strategies to include compensation, training, development, performance, and labor relations to achieve a highly skilled, diverse, and inclusive workforce that meets the challenges of a competitive business environment in various areas in the country. Partners with local schools to ensure an adequate pipeline of technical talent is available in the community
- Ensures health, safety, and environmental performance and compliance with all applicable state and federal permits, including interaction with state and local authorities as required by permit or other compliance mechanisms
- Provides site-level oversight of warehouse, inventory, materials readiness, and procurement support activities to ensure assigned sites have the equipment, parts, tools, and operational materials needed to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations
- Partners with Inventory Planning, Procurement, Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to identify material needs, prioritize site requirements, resolve escalations, and support planned outages, major maintenance activities, capital projects, emergency repairs, and restoration efforts
- Provides operational input into inventory investment, warehouse support needs, material handling equipment, and site-level working capital considerations to support O&M and capital budget planning.
- Reviews material availability, inventory trends, and warehouse support needs with Inventory Planning and Procurement to identify operational risks, cost impacts, and opportunities for improved efficiency and reliability
- Supports enterprise inventory sharing decisions by identifying site-level operational risk, criticality, and business impact of material transfers while partnering with Inventory Planning to balance site readiness and fleet-level reliability
- Provides site-level oversight to ensure warehouse, inventory, material handling, and procurement-related activities are conducted in alignment with company policies, safety expectations, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations
- Serves as the site escalation point for material availability concerns, warehouse support issues, procurement delays, vendor performance concerns, and inventory-related operational risks that may impact safety, reliability, outage readiness, or financial performance
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or a comparable area of study
- In addition to a bachelor's degree, seven (7) years or more of work-related experience
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, HS/GED and ten (10) years of work-related experience
Desired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business management, engineering, or a comparable area of study
- Knowledge and experience with electrical circuits and electro-mechanical construction principles
- Experience in overseeing contractors and administering programs relating to policy, contracts, and procedures
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety measures and controls
- Work management processes, Maximo scheduling, contractor oversight, contract management, and project management
- Experience partnering with inventory, warehouse, procurement, or materials management teams in an industrial, energy, utility, field service, or renewable operations environment
- Working knowledge of inventory readiness, material availability, procurement coordination, warehouse safety expectations, and outage support processes
- Ability to evaluate operational risk related to critical spare parts, material delays, vendor issues, and warehouse support needs
- Ability to travel from time to time on an as-needed basis
