They focus on high-visibility, awareness-driven solutions that create memorable experiences for Reddit users. By delivering guaranteed placements and engaging ad interactions, they support major brand initiatives and help advertisers achieve measurable outcomes. The team is building fully customizable interactive formats and AI-driven ads that incorporate User-Generated Content (UGC). Moving forward, we will be doubling down on Video Ads, with the goal of turning Reddit into an industry leader and a 'must buy' for advertisers to promote video content.
Role DescriptionThe Brand Ad Formats team is seeking a skilled Frontend engineer with a product-focused mindset to join the team.
Responsibilities:- Build Ad experiences and create patterns for Reddit's web app that enhance our ads' performance and functionality.
- Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams to innovate and implement sophisticated solutions for complex challenges.
- Engage in the full development cycle: design, develop, QA, experiment, analyze, and deploy.
Required Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience in Web Engineering
- Proficient in Typescript and Javascript
- A willingness to tackle the challenges of creating data-intensive, highly responsive, and fault-tolerant apps
- Experience with automated testing best practices, code quality / design patterns, observability, etc.
- Skilled at performing insightful code reviews, and receiving feedback themself
- Experience leveraging GenAI tools to increase software engineering productivity
- Excellent communication skills: able to collaborate with teams in a fully remote environment, and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working on ad tech
- Experience working on consumer facing sites (high production value at scale)

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base salary range for this position is:
$164,200-$229,900 USD
