Full Job Description
This position is fully remote. All applicants must live and work in the United States.

We're hiring a Front End Developer who lives and breathes modern styling. You should genuinely enjoy writing clean, handcrafted Vanilla CSS/SCSS and reaching for modern layout primitives (grid, flexbox, container queries, logical properties, custom properties) before turning to a framework. You're equally comfortable in Vanilla JavaScript and adept with React/Next when a project calls for it.

We have several new builds in flight spanning Contentful, Drupal, and WordPress. Direct experience with any of these is a strong plus but not a hard requirement - we care more about a developer who writes excellent, maintainable front-end code and can ramp into a CMS quickly. You should be comfortable translating Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces, and you should be excited to lean on AI tooling (Claude) to squash bugs faster and scaffold the repetitive, busy-bee parts of a build so you can focus on the craft.

You might be who we are looking for if...

  • You are based in the United States and eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • You have experience working at a digital agency.
  • You have 3+ years building modern, responsive web user interfaces.
  • You possess strong vanilla JavaScript fundamentals, plus working proficiency with React/Next.
  • You've demonstrated expertise in modern CSS/SCSS best practices (semantic, maintainable, accessible).
  • You're comfortable building from Figma - interpreting design files, components, tokens, and specs.
  • You're also familiar with modern animation libraries.
  • You're familiar with modern front-end build/bundling tooling (e.g. Vite, esbuild, Webpack).
  • You have working knowledge of git.
  • You have hands-on experience with one or more of Contentful, Drupal, or WordPress.
  • You possess knowledge of PHP.
  • You're comfortable using AI coding tools (Claude) to debug and scaffold

As a Frontend Developer at TAG you will...
  • Build pixel-accurate, accessible, responsive interfaces from Figma designs
  • Write clean, handcrafted CSS/SCSS using modern layout primitives - and reach for a framework only when a project genuinely calls for it
  • Develop interactive UI in Vanilla JavaScript, plus React/Next where it fits
  • Wire your front-end work into Contentful, Drupal, and WordPress, ramping into each platform quickly
  • Lean on AI tooling (Claude) to squash bugs faster and scaffold the repetitive parts of a build so you can focus on the craft
  • Contribute to feature development and bug crushing across several concurrent projects
  • Participate in code reviews and hold the line on front-end best practices for performance, accessibility, and maintainability
  • Partner with designers, project managers, and backend developers to turn requirements into shippable features
  • Flag blockers early and estimate your own work realistically so releases stay on track

Benefits and Perks
  • 100% employer paid health, vision and dental insurance
  • Life and short-term disability insurance
  • Paid parental leave
  • Family First PTO Bank
  • 100% remote
  • Flex Fridays
  • Paid vacation
  • 401(k) with up to 4% match
  • Charitable matches and/or community service hours
  • End of year merit-based bonuses
  • Annual company retreat with absolutely no trust falls
  • Company culture events such as trivia and team lunches
  • Professional development budget
