Total Rewards: Benefits/Incentive InformationGENERAL FUNCTIONThe Distribution & Projects Manager will have the full responsibility of the two Distribution Facilities in Groveport, OH. In partnership with the logistic departments, the manager will be responsible of the management of priorities between different channels, customers and orders types. Performs hands on department tasks as required. The manager will manage multiple projects, focus on service levels and drive efficiencies.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- To maximize the performance of the department by directing the day, week, and monthly activities
- Providing leadership, motivation, training and development of the workforce
- Manages inventory to ensure product is in stock and productivity and service level goals are met.
- Responsible for workload planning and volume forecasting
- Develops and improve business processes for logistics and distribution.
- Collaborates with finance to provide forecast of inventory, inbound and outbound, on weekly/monthly basis
- Leads business key projects to develop a lean logistic.
- Identifies trends, presents improvement ideas to the senior leadership and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop annual plan for improvement initiatives and execute projects as per project plans
- Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and collaborate with internal business partners to deliver optimal solutions.
- Create appropriate presentation material for various business reviews, including KPI reviews
- Evaluate gaps in productivity and service balance, coordinate, and lead projects to improve the reliability and efficiency of the processes.
- Monitor replenishment vs. plan daily and recommend corrective action as required for execution by the team to ensure desired inventory coverage levels.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in in Logistics, Engineering, Finance or Technology
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and or Logistic in complex environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain networks, Logistic needs, Capacity Management, People management
- Able to gather, manipulate and interpret data, solve problems, predict trends, and establish priorities
- Well organized, self-motivated, adhere to deadlines and ability to multi-task
- Able to growth in an international and dynamic environment
- Experience with SAP AFS, MS Office, and planning systems
