Authority, Scope and Basic Function
The primary role of this position is to maintain production in the front end based upon priorities and maintain our processing standards. The front-end team lead is also the central point of contact in this department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan and control the workflow of the front-end based on priorities.
- Distributing all cut lists to operators.
- Communicating due dates to all operators.
- Meeting with personnel from this department every morning to discuss daily tasks and expectations.
- Communicating any damaged equipment or equipment needs with Maintenance Team.
- Communicating with technicians as needed.
- Providing department personnel feedback.
- Communicating resource needs to the Plant Manager.
Secondary Responsibilities
* Employee orientation of this department.
- Group Leader should know how to operate all equipment and train personnel in doing so.
- Being prepared on new hires first day with all PPE and ready to greet them.
- Making sure all overhead doors are closed and man-doors are locked at EOD.
- Making sure that parts are moving up to fabrication from the front end.
- Ensuring that all weekly, monthly, semi-annual and yearly PM reports are turned in.
- Ensuring all crane reports are filled out and turned in daily.
- Encourage others to speak up and help their teammates towards success
- Always keeping Safety at the forefront and encouraging a safety minded culture
- Plan and control the workflow of the front-end shop based on priority.
- Coaching and training team members in this department.
