Full Job Description
Authority, Scope and Basic Function

The primary role of this position is to maintain production in the front end based upon priorities and maintain our processing standards. The front-end team lead is also the central point of contact in this department.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Plan and control the workflow of the front-end based on priorities.
    1. Distributing all cut lists to operators.
    2. Communicating due dates to all operators.
  2. Meeting with personnel from this department every morning to discuss daily tasks and expectations.
  3. Communicating any damaged equipment or equipment needs with Maintenance Team.
    1. Communicating with technicians as needed.
  4. Providing department personnel feedback.
  5. Communicating resource needs to the Plant Manager.


Secondary Responsibilities

* Employee orientation of this department.
    1. Group Leader should know how to operate all equipment and train personnel in doing so.
    2. Being prepared on new hires first day with all PPE and ready to greet them.
  1. Making sure all overhead doors are closed and man-doors are locked at EOD.
  2. Making sure that parts are moving up to fabrication from the front end.
  3. Ensuring that all weekly, monthly, semi-annual and yearly PM reports are turned in.
  4. Ensuring all crane reports are filled out and turned in daily.
  5. Encourage others to speak up and help their teammates towards success
  6. Always keeping Safety at the forefront and encouraging a safety minded culture
  7. Plan and control the workflow of the front-end shop based on priority.
  8. Coaching and training team members in this department.
