Our Impact:

The Single-Family Acquisitions Team is responsible for managing compliance and operational risk for the division.

Your Impact:

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the Single-Family Acquisitions division management to effectively manage Fraud and AML risks. Responsibilities include:

  • Set fraud, anti-money laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) risk management philosophy and strategy
  • Provide oversight and expert advice to ensure appropriate development and implementation of fraud and money laundering prevention, detection and resolution strategies to minimize risk of catastrophic loss to Freddie Mac
  • Establish or enhance policies, programs, reports and procedures to address relevant internal controls to identify and report suspicious activity, and to conform to FHFA, FinCEN, OFAC and other regulatory laws and directives
  • Oversee measures and systems that minimize losses from fraud and money laundering
  • Receive assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet multiple schedules and goals
  • Recommend changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization's operation
  • Develop business objectives for the department
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current trends
  • Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical and operational problems
  • Act as Executive Business sponsor for Fraud technology initiatives
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining internal controls over fraud processes and relevant documentation, policies, and procedures
  • Support reporting activities for management committee meetings
  • Provide leadership and guidance to subordinates at the manager and professional levels within the latitude of established company policies
  • Build a high-performing, result oriented team
  • Requires ability to influence others and collaborate effectively across the Enterprise


Qualifications:

  • 15+ years relevant experience, including experience as product owner; +8 management experience
  • Solid understanding and experience with risk management and controls
  • Ability to work with technical development teams
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $218,000 - $328,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
