What You Will Do
The AI/Data Consultant supports the design, development, and delivery of data‑driven and AI‑enabled solutions for clients. This role focuses on hands‑on analytics, data engineering, and applied AI use cases while building consulting, client‑facing, and technical fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of AI and data solutions including analytics pipelines, dashboards, and basic machine learning models
- Develop, test, and tune fraud and FinCrime prevention and detection rules in a variety of programming languages
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights
- Assist in data preparation, feature engineering, and model validation
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications under guidance
- Contribute to client deliverables, documentation, and presentations
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders
- Apply responsible AI, data governance, and security principles in delivery
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- Based on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen
- Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"
- 1 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or data science (6 months of relative intern experience may be used as part of the 1 years required experience)
- Strong proficiency and development experience in Python and SQL
- Proficiency working with various data structure formats (CSV/TXT, JSON, XML, Parquet, etc.)
- Experience with data visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Preference will be given to candidates located in the DMV
- Travel will be 25-50% for candidates not located in the DMV
What Would Be Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with R a plus
- Exposure to ML libraries (scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
- Experience building fraud and/or fincrime monitoring rules in one or more programming languages
- Hands‑on experience developing, testing, and validating machine learning and other AI models at scale
- Experience with platforms such as Databricks or Palantir
- Consulting, healthcare, financial services, or public sector experience
- Federal Agency experience
- LexisNexis product API integration experience
The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
