Full Job Description
Role Summary

We're looking for a strategic and highly operational Studio Manager to lead the Studio teams across our growing store infrastructure.

This is a multi-location leadership role responsible for creating consistency, accountability, and excellence across the FP Movement studio experience. Rather than managing a single studio, this person will manage and develop the Studio Managers who lead each individual location.

You'll be responsible for translating the broader studio vision into clear operating standards, supporting studios in their day-to-day leadership, and identifying opportunities to improve how our studios operate, deliver programming, and engage with their local communities.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional people leader who can move seamlessly between big-picture strategy and operational detail. You know how to build systems without making an experience feel overly corporate, and you understand that the studio is both a physical space and an important expression of the brand.

Role Responsibilities

Studio Operations
  • Own operational consistency across the studio network while allowing each location to maintain its local character
  • Develop and implement studio operating standards, processes, and best practices
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve studio workflows and overall store/studio performance
  • Monitor operational KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure studios are appropriately staffed, organized, and equipped to deliver a high-quality experience
  • Help establish scalable systems as the studio footprint grows

Instructor + Programming Experience
  • Oversee the framework for instructor relationships across studios
  • Partner with studio teams in store to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain high-quality instructors
  • Establish standards for instructor communication, scheduling, performance, and experience
  • Help evolve the studio programming model based on customer feedback and community needs
  • Ensure programming remains consistent with the brand while allowing for local relevance

Residency + Community
  • Oversee the studio residency model and ensure studios are effectively activating their local communities
  • Partner with the Community and Experiential teams to connect studio programming with broader brand initiatives
  • Establish best practices for local partnerships, community relationships, and studio events
  • Help studio teams identify opportunities to make their locations meaningful hubs within their communities

Private Events + Experiences
  • Develop a consistent framework for private events within the studio network
  • Partner with store teams to execute private events and special experiences
  • Ensure events meet operational, financial, and brand standards
  • Identify opportunities to use studios as experiential spaces beyond their core programming

Strategy + Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the central connection between studio teams, retail teams and brand marketing
  • Translate company priorities into actionable plans for the studio teams
  • Surface trends, challenges, and opportunities across locations
  • Help shape the future operating model as the studio footprint expands

Role Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of experience in multi-unit operations, studio/fitness/wellness management, hospitality, retail, experiential, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing managers and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong operational and organizational skills
  • Comfortable owning multiple locations, competing priorities, and complex workflows
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A thoughtful, hands-on leadership style with strong judgment
  • Ability to build scalable processes without losing the human element of the experience
  • Strong understanding of customer/member experience
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without relying solely on authority
  • Willingness to travel between studio locations as needed
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings/weekends around major programming and events
Success in This Role Looks Like
  • Studio Managers are confident, accountable, and consistently developing as leaders
  • Each studio delivers a consistent brand experience while maintaining its local personality
  • Studio operations become increasingly scalable and efficient as the network grows
  • Instructor relationships and programming are strong across locations
  • Studios become meaningful community hubs, not simply physical retail locations
  • Private events and special experiences are executed consistently and professionally
  • Leadership has clear visibility into studio performance, opportunities, and challenges
  • The studio team feels supported by a leader who can both set the standard and help solve the hard problems
