Full Job Description

The FP&A Site Lead is a Senior Manager-level role and the dedicated FP&A business partner for the Resilience Biotechnologies Inc (RBI) site. As the sole FP&A resource on site, this individual owns all financial planning and analysis for the facility and serves as the primary finance liaison to the Site General Manager, department leads, and the broader Resilience Finance organization.

The role demands deep command of cGMP manufacturing economics — including batch costing, COGS, capacity utilization, and capital project tracking — combined with strong business partnering skills to drive financial accountability across a complex, multi-program CDMO environment. The FP&A Site Lead will also play a key role in the site’s ongoing ERP migration and in building scalable, technology-enabled FP&A infrastructure for the site.

The RBI site (Mississauga, Ontario) operates 136,000 sq ft of cGMP space with 250 - 350 FTEs. It offers end-to-end biologics capabilities: process and analytical development (PAD), upstream and downstream drug substance manufacturing and aseptic sterile fill/finish. The site carries clean regulatory history — inspected by US FDA, PMDA, and Health Canada within the past five years — and is actively expanding fill/finish capacity coming online in the near future.

Job Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Support the site P&L; develop command of key drivers — batch economics, capacity utilization, client mix, COGS, inventory reserves, and headcount — to produce monthly commentary, insights, and actionable recommendations for site leadership

  • Lead all planning cycles (Budget, Forecast, LRP) for the site, consolidating inputs across manufacturing, operations, quality, sciences, and G&A

  • Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly reporting packages and dashboards; communicate financial performance clearly to the Site GM and functional leaders

  • Build and maintain detailed capital project tracking (POs, invoices, spend vs. budget) across the site’s active capex expansion program; support project owners in managing to budget

Business Partnering & Controls

  • Partner with Accounting on month-end close, accruals, reserves, standard costing, and COGS maintenance; ensure alignment between Adaptive Planning and the ERP

  • Develop site KPIs in partnership with functional leaders; build financial and operational reporting infrastructure to drive accountability across the site

  • Approve purchase requisitions and new hire requisitions in line with approved budget; design and maintain budget control mechanisms for manufacturing and capital

  • Support commercial FP&A on pricing and capacity analyses relevant to site programs; align financial models with client commitments and program economics

  • Lead scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support strategic and operational decisions, including capacity additions, batch scale changes, and customer mix

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive FP&A technology adoption, leveraging AI for automation and analysis.

  • Expand and enhance dashboards and reporting for both financial and operating metrics.

  • Serve as site super-user for Adaptive Planning.

  • Play an active role in the site’s ERP migration, ensuring FP&A data flows, cost structures, and reporting processes are properly designed and validated.

  • Cultivate financial literacy and a culture of accountability across all site functions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Significant experience developing and supporting manufacturing sites in FP&A with demonstrated excellence in financial and analytical capabilities.

  • Strong presentation and leadership skills

  • Substantial experience building financial models in the support of manufacturing operations

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating across corporate functions and multiple stakeholders

  • Knowledge of US GAAP and technical pronouncements

  • Knowledge of ERP and FP&A systems

  • Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills and can work with all levels of employees and able to present findings to senior management

  • Be able to meet the rigorous deadlines, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities
