Hybrid- Boston, MA

The FP&A team is responsible for providing data-driven insights to inform strategic, financial, and operational decision-making across the company. We're seeking an FP&A Analyst to support our Corporate Financial Planning Team that partners closely with our Financial Leadership Team on initiatives like long-range strategic planning, annual planning and earnings. In this high-impact role, you'll work closely with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver analytical insights, support business planning, and inform decision

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a finance partner to leaders and teams across the organization, supporting investment, headcount, and resourcing decisions in a fast-paced environment.


  • Build and maintain financial models across headcount, salaries and benefits, shared services, vendor and cloud spend, and translate them into clear, actionable operational recommendations.


  • Deliver monthly and quarterly quantitative and qualitative analysis of PTC financial results, including variances to plan, ensuring key issues, risks, and business drivers are understood and highlighted.


  • Support annual operating plan and long-range planning processes, leveraging an understanding of business priorities, organizational structure, and growth objectives.


  • Contribute to strategic initiatives through a combination of business partnering, analytical insight, and project support.


  • Analyze operational and financial data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency, proactively surfacing insights to finance and business partners.


  • Build strong working relationships across the organization and develop critical understanding of the company's business model, key performance indicators, products, and market dynamics.


What you'll need to thrive (Skills)

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.


  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, consulting, investment banking, business operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Ability to commute to the Boston office 2-3 days a week.


  • Comfortable working cross-functionally, communicating complex financial information to non-finance audiences


  • Strong Excel and financial analysis skills. Experience building financial models and analyzing large datasets to support business decisions.


  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels of the organization.


  • Demonstrated curiosity, business acumen, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Experience with financial planning systems, business intelligence tools, or data visualization platforms is a plus.

PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $70,000 - 108,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus. Employees also have the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program (ESPP), which allows for the purchase of discounted PTC stock. Certain roles may also be eligible for participation in our equity programs.
