DescriptionMarkon is building a talent pool of FP&A Analysts to support future Intelligence Community customer missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify qualified candidates to support financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting activities aligned to mission and organizational priorities. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings supporting financial strategy, budgeting, and performance analysis.
Responsibilities- Develop, analyze, and interpret financial statements to support strategic decision-making, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal financial principles and organizational accounting standards. Further assist in financial statement preparation by identifying and mitigating variances, errors, and process inefficiencies.
- Prepare and deliver key financial reports, including the Balance Sheet, Statement of Net Cost, Statement of Budgetary Resources, and Statement of Changes in Net Position, providing leadership with clear visibility into financial performance and trends.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis including reviewing and reconciling general ledger activity, evaluating revenue, expense, and cashflow drivers, and identifying discrepancies to ensure data accuracy and reliable financial reporting.
- Maintain accurate financial records by preparing journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, and monitoring the alignment between budgetary and proprietary accounts.
- Develop and analyze financial forecasts and models related to revenue, expenses, and cash flow to support planning and business performance analysis.
- Perform additional ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed.
Qualifications- TS/SCI w/ FSP
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial management, or accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with Power Pivot and Power Query.
- Preferred experience working with customer financial data or providing financial/accounting support to federal agencies.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, including summarizing complex financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
Salary RangeUSD $170,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
