About the RoleThis is the first infrastructure hire at an early-stage agentic integration platform, working directly with the CTO on a leadership track. You'll own the entire infra and platform layer - from durable execution runtime to agent infrastructure to observability - and set the patterns every future infrastructure engineer builds on. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role with a clear path into leading the team.
What You'll Do- Own and build a mini cloud platform for integration runtime: durable execution, sandboxed isolation, and self-healing infrastructure.
- Design and operate the agent infrastructure that enables coding agents to write, test, and deploy integration code at production scale.
- Implement full observability pipelines (logs, metrics, tracing) across every integration and agent.
- Ship a single-tenant, self-hostable deployment of the product with end-to-end observability included.
- Establish engineering patterns and standards that future infrastructure hires will build on.
- Work as a peer to the founding team, shipping to production constantly.
- Help recruit and, within a year, grow into leading the infrastructure team.
What We're Looking For- 3+ years of engineering experience at a high-growth startup, comfortable in fast, ambiguous, under-resourced environments.
- Proven experience designing and implementing observability pipelines (logs, metrics, tracing) for production systems.
- Hands-on proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and PostgreSQL.
- Background building platform or runtime infrastructure (think: execution sandboxing, durable workflows, or developer platforms).
- Experience with or strong interest in self-hostable / single-tenant deployment models.
- Comfortable operating as a technical leader: setting direction, defining standards, and eventually growing a team.
