About the RoleThis is a founding engineering role at an a16z-backed AI GTM automation startup, where you'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team to ship the core product. You'll own major product areas end-to-end - from APIs and backend systems to AI-powered features - with direct, immediate impact on real customers.
What You'll Do- Collaborate daily with founders in person to define requirements, build features, and iterate rapidly on customer feedback.
- Build core product infrastructure including APIs, backend systems, and interfaces designed for both human users and AI agents.
- Ship production-ready AI features that power customer go-to-market workflows end-to-end.
- Join customer calls to demo solutions, surface needs, and translate insights directly into product improvements.
- Leverage AI coding agents and the latest tooling to accelerate development velocity with sound engineering judgment.
- Establish AI-native engineering workflows and processes that scale the team's output over time.
What We're Looking For- 3+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of shipping and iterating in production.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for building APIs, backend systems, and user interfaces.
- Solid data modeling fundamentals and experience designing scalable production systems.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying AI/ML features in production environments.
- Comfort using AI coding agents and LLM-based development tools as part of a daily workflow.
- Experience working in early-stage startup environments with close founder collaboration.
- Ownership-oriented mindset with a desire for real influence over product and roadmap decisions.
- Bonus: Experience with GTM workflows, outbound campaigns, or customer-facing technical roles.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary range:
$137,000 - $190,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
