Founding AI Engineer (Agent Systems)$180K-$220K Base + Meaningful Founding Equity (Up to 1%+)What You'll Do:- Design and build production-grade AI agent systems from the ground up.
- Own orchestration, planning, memory, retrieval (RAG), tool-calling, evaluation, and guardrails.
- Develop agents that reason across structured financial data, documents, APIs, and business workflows.
- Connect AI systems to internal platforms, databases, and third-party applications.
- Build validation and reliability frameworks that improve accuracy and trustworthiness.
- Partner directly with founders to shape product strategy and technical architecture.
What We're Looking For:- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Personally built and shipped a complete AI agent system used by real customers.
- Deep experience with LLM orchestration, RAG, structured outputs, function calling, and evaluation frameworks.
- Strong TypeScript skills.
- Experience operating in startup environments with high ownership and ambiguity.
- Strong systems design and architectural judgment.
Strong Plus Factors:- Former founder or founding engineer.
- Experience building accuracy-critical AI applications.
- Mastra framework experience.
- Background in fintech, healthcare, analytics, enterprise SaaS, or other structured-data environments.
