Description

Job Summary:

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Infostrux, you will be working directly with both our internal sales team and our clients to quickly deliver value to our customers -turning ambiguous business problems into working pipelines, agents, and applications in weeks, not quarters. You'll sit at the intersection of engineering, delivery, and client strategy: prototyping fast, adapting to each client's environment and constraints, and translating what you learn in the field back into reusable patterns and accelerators for Infostrux's broader practice. This is a hands-on, high-autonomy role for engineers who want to see their code running in production, in front of real users, fast, and who are energized by ambiguity rather than daunted by it.

What you'll get to do:

  • Scope out projects with our clients and sales team to get an understanding of their business needs and challenges.
  • Embed within client workflows, data and constraints firsthand, then rapidly prototype and ship working solutions using Snowflake (Cortex, Streamlit, Dynamic Tables, Snowpark), SQL, and Python.
  • Build and deploy GenAI-powered applications (agents, copilots, semantic search, document intelligence) using LLM APIs and vector search/embeddings.
  • Iterate quickly based on direct client feedback, often compressing typical project timelines from months to weeks.
  • Identify patterns across engagements and feed them back into Infostrux's internal accelerators, templates, and best practices.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects and Delivery leads to scope feasible, high-impact solutions during presales and kickoff.
  • Travel to client sites as needed (frequency varies by engagement).

What you'll bring:

  • Strong interpersonal capabilities and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • Comfort working directly with clients - gathering requirements, presenting technical decisions, managing ambiguity without heavy specs.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound architectural decisions with limited oversight.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks).
  • Experience building GenAI applications (RAG, agents, LLM orchestration, prompt engineering).
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, or Snowpark for orchestration and transformation.
  • Familiarity with Git, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and systems-thinking skills - comfortable diagnosing issues in unfamiliar codebases and environments.

Additional Assets:

  • Education or teaching experience (Teacher's assistant, conference speaker, etc.).
  • Experience in financial services.
  • Consulting or professional services background.
  • Data governance and security experience (masking policies, row-level security, access controls).
  • CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, dbt, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience with data migration projects (e.g., legacy warehouse to Snowflake).

What's in it for you? We're so glad you asked!

You will be surrounded by some of the brightest and most accomplished technical minds in our field. We are a team of very diverse and passionate professionals who love working together and solving problems by leveraging technology to help our customers. We pride ourselves in our outstanding work culture that is grounded in our 8 core values: trust, excellence, integrity, humility, accountability, responsibility, kindness, and fun.

We value our people above all, and we provide a competitive compensation and benefits package to show our team our appreciation for everything they do:

  • We are a 100% remote organization and our team members can work from the comfort of their homes, as well as anywhere abroad where they are entitled to work for up to 3 months per year.
  • We are strong believers of work-life integration and we offer a flexible schedule so that our team can manage their own workload and still be there for family and loved ones.
  • We offer 4 weeks of vacation annually, in addition to paid personal and sick days, so that our team can unwind, recharge, and enjoy time away for hobbies and family.
  • We provide a monthly bring-your-own-device allowance for each team member to choose the computer and phone of their preference (and it is theirs to keep afterwards).
  • We strongly believe in professional growth, so we are continuously educating ourselves with regular lunch & learns and industry events, and we invest in professional development and industry-based certifications for everyone in our team.
  • We constantly encourage everyone to step outside of their comfort zone and try new things, so we dedicate time each month to work on non-client work and collaborate on new innovative ideas, and we reward people who experiment and take risks.
  • We enjoy getting together, and we promote co-working days and social events in our main locations on a regular basis.

Compensation for this role depends on various factors, including seniority, skill level, and location. Compensation structures may also differ based on the type of engagement-contract rates vary from full-time employee salary ranges. Specific details will be discussed during the hiring process.
