About the RoleThis is a rare opportunity to be one of the first engineers at a well-funded, early-stage startup building an
agentic integration platform for the physical economy - think supply chain, logistics, and freight. Specialized AI agents gather requirements in plain English, generate integration code, test it, deploy it, and keep it alive in production.
You'll own core systems end-to-end alongside the founding team: the agent platform, infrastructure, and the integrations runtime. Everything you build and every pattern you set becomes the foundation the rest of the engineering team inherits.
This is not a chatbot company or a thin wrapper on an LLM. The agents do real, consequential work in production - agent orchestration across specialized agents, a durable-execution integrations runtime, self-healing systems, and a knowledge base that compounds with every integration shipped.
What You'll Do- Own core systems end-to-end - agent platform, cloud infrastructure, and the integrations runtime, from conception through production and beyond.
- Set the engineering patterns - define the architecture, conventions, and best practices that every future hire will build on top of.
- Ship constantly - work directly with the founders in a tight, high-velocity loop, deploying to production on a continuous basis.
- Shape the whole system - influence product direction, infrastructure decisions, and the technical roadmap in your first year.
- Build for reliability - design and maintain monitoring, observability, and self-healing capabilities across the integrations runtime.
What We're Looking ForRequired:- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, Bun, Effect-TS, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Proven experience shipping and owning end-to-end production systems - you've taken features and infrastructure from conception to live production.
- Experience designing engineering patterns and best practices in an early-stage or greenfield environment.
- Hands-on background in infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and runtime systems - including monitoring, reliability, and self-healing.
- Comfortable working directly with founders and adapting quickly in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
- Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA.
Nice to Have:- Familiarity with supply chain, logistics, or freight tech ecosystems (ERP, WMS, OMS, TMS, EDI, etc.).
- Experience with durable execution frameworks or agent orchestration systems.
- Background at a high-growth startup or a strong engineering-culture company.
Compensation & Benefits- Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
- Equity participation as an early team member.
- Visa sponsorship is available.
LocationThis role is
on-site in San Francisco, CA. You'll be working in-person with a small, high-caliber founding team. Remote work is not available for this position.
