Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier sourcing for program commodities, ensuring timely onboarding for the engineering phase.
  • Draft non-standard sourcing contracts for new suppliers, coordinating terms with the Purchasing team.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Program Management, Purchasing, and suppliers to align on deliverables.
  • Monitor supplier commitments and program milestones, managing risks and resolving issues to protect timelines.
  • Collaborate across Engineering, Program Management, and Purchasing to ensure sourcing aligns with program needs.

In this position...
  • You'll be part of the team working on the next elite niche production vehicle in the Ford Racing portfolio of high-performance vehicles.
  • You'll be part of a small nimble team with significant exposure to Chief, Director and senior leadership.
  • You're the ideal candidate if you have prior program management or purchasing experience working for an OEM on a major forward model vehicle program.

This role is hybrid and requires at least 4 days per week onsite in Allen Park, MI.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Lead the supplier sourcing workstream for forward model program commodities, ensuring suppliers are onboarded in time to support the start of the engineering phase
  • Author non-standard sourcing contracts for suppliers new to Ford, coordinating terms and requirements with the Purchasing team
  • Serve as the primary interface between the Program Management team, Purchasing, and suppliers to align on scope, timing, and deliverables
  • Track supplier commitments and program milestones, escalating risks and driving issues to resolution to protect program timing
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management and Purchasing to ensure sourcing decisions reflect program requirements and readiness needs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3 years' experience working with or supporting purchasing/sourcing processes, including contract development or supplier onboarding.

  • Experience sourcing or contracting with suppliers new to Ford or in a non-standard sourcing environment.
  • Experience supporting GPDS milestones, gateway reviews, or program launch readiness.
  • Familiarity with Ford's purchasing and sourcing systems or processes.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills, with attention to detail when managing contract terms and supplier commitments.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive tasks to closure without direct authority.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills for interfacing with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A passion for Ford Racing products and motorsports.

This position is a salary grade 5 - 8 and ranges from $65,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

Internal applicants: moving into this role may result in an adjustment to your current compensation based on the posted pay range for this role, taking into consideration your qualifications and other relevant factors.
