Job Description (General Summary)

Commercial Food Sanitation, LLC (CFS), an Intralox company, has an opportunity for an individual with experience in Sanitation, Food Safety, and Quality. This position is critical as CFS works with global food processors who demand consistency in programs and food safety standards. Preference to a New Orleans based candidate.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Lead collaboration with Intralox account teams in the assigned category(s) and region(s) to support food customer and OEM strategies for business advancement. This will include engagement in account planning and travel to support customer initiatives (e.g. strategy development, capital project support, etc) and meetings (e.g., Quality/Food Safety meetings, lunch & learn, etc.).
  • Collaborate with other regions to align activity and communication across the global team on focus, Large global accounts.
  • Create and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers at customers.
  • Strengthen CFS engagement and develop more business in the assigned product category(s) within the region(s).
  • Lead on-site customer workshop training.
  • Assess regional and global food processors and provide objective, world class recommendations utilizing the CFS Preventive Plan Continuum.
  • Support troubleshooting and mitigation for food safety challenges.
  • Be a trainer in the CFS Institute. Lead presentations and breakouts for a global customer base in Sanitation Essentials and Hygienic Design Training.
  • Work alongside food processors to support implementation of recommendations.
  • Effectively communicate with personnel at all levels of responsibility within the customer's organization.
  • Train, and make recommendations to, equipment manufacturers on Hygienic Design Principles and strategies.
  • Support development of future training offerings, including digital, as well as future customer support offerings.
  • Be an active member of the food industry community. This could include engagement in Food Industry conferences, tradeshows, industry improvement efforts, and speaking opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preference of science degree (or equivalent).
  • Passionate about Hygiene/Sanitation and Food Safety.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the food processing industry (Bakery, Meat, Poultry, Dairy, and/or Produce) with significant experience in plant hygiene and sanitation with a food manufacturing company.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, in both technical and sales content, with all levels of personnel within a company.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills and the ability to explain food safety concepts to those not specialized in the field.
  • Self-managed with an entrepreneurial, problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communicator and team player capable of simplifying complex scenarios.
  • Well-structured and organized.
  • Customer value focused.
  • Has curiosity for new models of growth. Willingness and ability to explore new offerings and new technologies.
  • Ability to set priorities, utilize and coordinate resources, and manage projects from start to finish with little supervision.
  • Ability to effectively work on a team, either as a leader or member of the team.
  • Solid understanding of Sanitation Concepts and the ability to interact with Microbiologists, Sanitation Managers, Engineers, and Management.
  • Knowledge of process control, HACCP, and general food manufacturing principles.
  • Desire to travel 55-60% of the time. International travel may be required at times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English, with fluency in Spanish as a plus.
  • Local to New Orleans a plus.
