Full Job Description
Position Summary
The Food & Beverage Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the Club's dining venues and food and beverage services, ensuring exceptional member experiences, efficient operations, and consistent service standards. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage, this leader serves as a visible presence throughout the Club, supporting service teams, developing future leaders, and maintaining a culture centered on hospitality, accountability, and excellence.
Success in this role requires a balance of leadership, organization, financial awareness, and member engagement, along with a passion for creating outstanding experiences for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Daily Operations
  • Oversee daily food and beverage operations across all dining venues and service areas.
  • Maintain exceptional service standards during lunch, dinner, member events, and special functions.
  • Ensure all outlets operate efficiently while delivering a consistent and memorable member experience.
  • Serve as a visible leadership presence during service periods, providing support, coaching, and guidance to staff.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address opportunities to enhance service delivery.

Deliver Exceptional Member Experiences
  • Build meaningful relationships with members and guests.
  • Anticipate needs, recognize preferences, and create personalized experiences.
  • Address concerns promptly, professionally, and with a hospitality-first mindset.
  • Continuously evaluate member feedback and identify opportunities to improve the overall dining experience.
  • Foster a culture where every interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.

Develop and Inspire Teams
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop front-of-house team members and supervisors.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and service excellence.
  • Conduct regular training sessions, pre-shift meetings, and performance coaching.
  • Support succession planning and the development of future leaders within the department.
  • Lead by example through a hands-on, team-oriented leadership style.

Drive Operational Excellence
  • Assist in managing departmental budgets, labor costs, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls.
  • Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate POS systems, reporting processes, scheduling, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Support inventory management, purchasing processes, and vendor relationships.

Shape the Future of Hospitality at Oldfield Club
  • Partner closely with the Director of Food & Beverage during the ongoing clubhouse renovation to ensure service continuity and a positive member experience.
  • Contribute operational insight and recommendations regarding future dining operations and member experiences.
  • Support implementation of new processes, service enhancements, and operational improvements associated with renovated facilities.
  • Serve as a positive and steady leader throughout periods of change and growth.

Success in Your First Year
  • Provide confident, visible leadership during the ongoing clubhouse renovation while maintaining exceptional member service.
  • Strengthen service consistency across all dining venues through training, accountability, and leadership presence.
  • Build trust and credibility with members through genuine engagement and outstanding hospitality.
  • Improve team performance, engagement, and retention through coaching and development.
  • Enhance operational efficiency through effective scheduling, inventory management, and labor controls.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Food & Beverage and culinary leadership to support the evolution of dining experiences at Oldfield Club.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and pride within the Food & Beverage department.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Food & Beverage management experience in a private club, resort, hotel, restaurant, or upscale hospitality environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple dining outlets, service teams, or food and beverage operations.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage service standards, inventory management, labor controls, and budgeting.
  • Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing service teams.
  • Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling software, inventory management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverage service regulations and certification requirements.
  • Private club experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout service.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform duties associated with restaurant and event operations.

Compensation
  • Expected salary range: $90,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
