Job Overview:

The Food & Beverage Manager works closely with the Food & Beverage Management Team to oversee Restaurant, Bar, & Banquet functions within the hotel to ensure we maintain high standards of food and beverage quality and service.

Reports to: Regional Director of F&B/GM

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of the restaurant, dining room and function rooms
  • Work closely with Human Resources and Head of F&B to assist with recruiting, training, and performance management
  • Motivates the staff to ensure that guest receives excellent services
  • Directs, implements and maintains great service to guests
  • Supervising cash handling procedures
  • Finding training opportunities through daily activities
  • Inspire the staff to look at job responsibilities through the guests' perspectives
  • Communicate and collaborate with other hotel departments including Sales, Restaurants, Catering, etc. to ensure seamless guest service and creative solutions to venue and event opportunities
  • Solicit local group Food & Beverage business; maintain the services and reputation of the Hotel and act as a management representative to group clients

Qualifications/Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Hotel & Restaurant Management is preferred
  • At least 2 years of food & beverage experience is required. Previous experience in supervising food & beverage team in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment is preferred
  • Basic computer skills is required. Prior experience using Microsoft Office and knowledge of standard restaurant and bar operations technology including Micros and Open Table is preferred
  • Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. Conversational abilities in Spanish also desired
  • Active Food Handler's certificate is preferred
