Reporting to the Director, Sustaining Engineering & Flow Lab, the
Flow Calibration Supervisor is responsible for managing associates in
flow lab calibration relating to Propellor, Electromagnetic, & Differential Pressure metering technologies. Leads the team through prioritizing and assigning work and monitoring the successful completion of scheduled tasks. Has advanced knowledge and understanding of calibration process. Is responsible for ensuring accurate calibration, regulatory compliance and the on-time delivery of flow meters.
This position is part of the Sustaining Engineering
located in Hemet, CA and will be onsite, with occasional travel to the lab based in Porterville.
In this role, a typical day will look like:- Supervise daily flow laboratory operations, including flow meter testing, calibration, and verification.
- Create and drive new processes for quality and efficiency, continuous improvement.
- Ensure all metrology work complies with established procedures, quality system requirements, and applicable laboratory standards.
- Identify quality issues, lead investigations, and support corrective and preventive actions.
- Own and drive on-time delivery (OTD) performance for calibrated flow meters by planning work, balancing capacity, and addressing constraints.
- Coordinate schedules and priorities with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service.
- Drives successful completion of VES (Veralto Enterprise System) events for Flow Technician teams and work areas.
- Perform experiments or tests which may require nonstandard procedures and complex instrumentation.
- Records, computes and analyzes test data.
- Prepares reports and records on calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities.
- Troubleshoots malfunctioning equipment and makes repairs as needed
The essential requirements of the job include: - Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage production or technical teams to meet operational and quality objectives
- Experience overseeing daily operations, workflow coordination, and performance management in a production setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Metrology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific/technical discipline
- Experience working in a flow laboratory, calibration lab, or metrology-focused environment
- Familiarity with measurement systems, calibration processes, and quality control methodologies
- Prior experience supervising or supporting laboratory operations, including testing, data integrity, and equipment oversight
- Strong understanding of industrial measurement principles and instrumentation
- Experience with process improvement, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to bridge coordination between operations, engineering, and quality teams
- Effective communication and leadership skills in a technical, fast-paced environment

An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000 USD per year.
