Responsibilities

  • Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care according to care plans and school policies
  • Assist in onboarding and training of new RNs
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication with families and schools

Qualifications & Education

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a clinical setting. At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience, preferably in a home care or private duty setting
  • Demonstrated competency with:
    • Feeding tubes
    • Seizure management
    • Diabetes care
    • Cardiac conditions
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments

Key Responsibilities
  • Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs
  • Must be willing to drive anywhere on Long Island- for example: New Hyde Park to Miller Place
  • Provide one-on-one nursing care for individual students as required
  • Support school-sponsored activities, including:
    • Field trips
    • Organized school event days
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and school policies
  • Assist with onboarding, training, and shadowing of RNs requesting first-visit support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with families, schools, and internal teams
  • Uphold all safety, compliance, and professional standards
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods
  • Capability to meet the physical demands of school and clinical environments
