Qualifications & Education- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a clinical setting. At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience, preferably in a home care or private duty setting
- Demonstrated competency with:
- Feeding tubes
- Seizure management
- Diabetes care
- Cardiac conditions
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments
Key Responsibilities- Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs
- Must be willing to drive anywhere on Long Island- for example: New Hyde Park to Miller Place
- Provide one-on-one nursing care for individual students as required
- Support school-sponsored activities, including:
- Field trips
- Organized school event days
- Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans, physician orders, and school policies
- Assist with onboarding, training, and shadowing of RNs requesting first-visit support
- Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with families, schools, and internal teams
- Uphold all safety, compliance, and professional standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods
- Capability to meet the physical demands of school and clinical environments
