Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Support development of test objectives, methods, detailed procedures, instrumentation requirements, data collection plans, and coordination with ranges and support agencies for DT&E activities.
• Conduct technical evaluations of program requirements documents, system descriptions, and modification proposals; assess operability, integration, and functionality of rotary wing systems and recommend improvements or redesigns where appropriate.
• Attend and participate in test planning meetings, TIMs, reviews, audits, and briefings; prepare and deliver test material, schedules, and status updates, maintaining close coordination with program offices.
• Assist in planning and structuring flight tests by developing test plans, MOTs, CONOPS, flight test cards, schedules, and engineering documentation IAW AFTC and 96 TW guidance; coordinate multidisciplinary support personnel for mission execution.
• Support execution of ground and flight tests as a non crewmember test conductor or instrumentation operator; collect and reduce data; validate results and instrumentation accuracy; and assist in writing mission accomplishment reports and final test reports.
Required Qualifications
• 3 to 10 years of relevant engineering experience in rotary wing flight test, development, or qualification testing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform all functional duties including test planning, documentation development, instrumentation support, and data analysis.
• Experience evaluating aircraft systems performance using mathematical, statistical, and engineering analytical techniques.
• Familiarity with Air Force test planning processes, instrumentation packages, and coordination requirements for airspace, ranges, aircraft, frequencies, munitions, and test resources.
Education & Certification
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in an applicable engineering discipline.
Clearance Requirement
• Active Secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.
