As a Systems Engineer for Accuracy You Will...- Work with a talented team developing accuracy requirements, determining verification procedures, and executing architectural trades for next-generation weapon systems
- Define and build a digital engineering framework for accuracy evaluation inside a MBSE environment
- Provide thought leadership for current and future strategic weapon system digital engineering efforts
- Support system-level evaluation of existing strategic systems by leveraging statistical and mathematical expertise
- Interact with sponsors and representatives of other organizations
QualificationsYou meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...- Possess a B.S. in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline
- Have relevant experience in systems engineering for complex systems
- Have experience in early concept development, system requirements, functional analysis and allocation, trade studies in support of the design, development, and evaluation of complex systems
- Have experience in system modeling using UML/SysML and associated modeling software such as Cameo
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong critical thinking skills
- Have strong initiative, interest in skill development, and the flexibility to accept assignments of varied scope and skill
- Are able to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.
You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you have...- M.S. or Ph.D. in physics, applied mathematics, engineering, or a related technical discipline and 5+ years of experience in systems engineering
- 5+ years of experience in the strategic deterrence domain area
- Experience in requirement development and verification for strategic systems
- Strong object-oriented programming background and proficiency with C++, MATLAB, or Python
- Experience with custom scripts and/or plug-ins for MagicDraw modeling software (including its Cameo variance) and/or DOORS requirements software
- Experience with ontology development and scientific data modeling
- Experience with maximum likelihood estimation or statistical modeling
