Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and investigate issues related to the Electronic Warfare (EW) system onboard submarines, focusing on BLQ-10 and other critical EW systems.
  • Apply expert knowledge in Technology Insertions (TI14-TI20), performing diagnostic and maintenance actions across various baselines and platforms.
  • Conduct hands-on troubleshooting in Linux-based operating systems and custom EW software environments.
  • Support technology transitions: participate in the planning, execution, and documentation for installation of new systems, TEMPALTs, and SOVTs.
  • Design, integrate, and manage complex systems through all lifecycle phases, ensuring system compatibility and future upgrade paths.
  • Develop and update testing and troubleshooting procedures, leveraging technical documentation, manufacturer guidelines, and real-world fleet experiences.
  • Oversee and mentor team members during troubleshooting and repair operations, providing in-depth technical expertise and systematic approaches.
  • Perform cross-platform and cross-subsystem support tasks, demonstrating adaptability across multiple projects and technology suites.
  • Deliver CONUS and OCONUS fleet support, providing on-site and remote troubleshooting, system upgrades, and urgent repairs as needed.
  • Liaise with engineering, integration, and logistics teams to address system performance, requirements, and reliability issues.

Qualifications

  • BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent military/industry experience).
  • Hands-on experience supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting submarine EW systems, preferably BLQ-10 and subsequent baselines.
  • Advanced knowledge of TI14-TI20 baselines, including installation, upgrade, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux operating systems, including system administration, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with US Navy installation procedures, TEMPALTs, and SOVT processes.
  • Ability to design, integrate, and manage complex system architectures and modifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to create clear, actionable testing documentation and system reports.
  • Willingness to travel for CONUS and OCONUS fleet support assignments, sometimes on short notice.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret Clearance

Desirable Skills:
  • Experience with cross-platform systems and EW subsystem integration
  • Prior participation in EW system upgrades, installations, and overhaul events
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Navy background or equivalent defense contractor experience is highly preferred
