Full Job Description
Kenworth is seeking an innovative and results-oriented individual. This leadership role will be responsible for integrating fleet customers into the manufacturing process. The Fleet Program Manager works closely with Sales, Service, Customers, Operations and Resident Engineering to build and drive strategies for effectively implementing unique configurations of fleet customers and insure that fleet specifications and quality requirements are achieved with minimal production flow impact and maximize customer satisfaction. JOB FUNTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES: • Serve as primary Chillicothe Plant representative in fleet relationship matters include customer visits and handling of issues in a timely and effective manner. • Manage the activities of the Fleet Program on a day-to-day basis. • Lead the activities associated with pre-build actions, customer pilot reviews (both at the plant and at customer locations), and post build actions/feedback. • Communicating fleet needs and impressions to the Kenworth Leadership Team. • Recommend improvement projects based on direct customer feedback. • Facilitate activities with Operations, Quality, Materials, Dealers, Customers, Division Engineering, Sales & Field Service to ensure timely resolution of product related issues to exceed the expectations of our identified fleet customers. • Prepare and provide performance feedback to direct reports. • Travel up to 30-50%. • Additional duties as assigned. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor of Science in industry related field. • 7+ years of engineering or operations experience, manufacturing experience preferred. • 3+ years prior supervisory experience managing 3+ employees. • Effective communicator and facilitator. • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional team environment. • Proven organizational and project management skills. • Proven ability to perform in a fast-paced, results-oriented production environment and manage multiple priorities. • Proven ability to lead a dynamic team of strong contributors, provide ongoing technical and developmental guidance. • Experience working with customers • Heavy-Duty Truck and/or Automotive product knowledge required including mechanical, electrical and software systems. • Product Development Tollgate Process familiarity and experience. • Familiarity and experience with related PC business applications including: CICS/CMS80, PCMS, VOG, Windchill/Creo, EWI, ePortal, and Prospector. • Six Sigma Belt trained. • Proficiency with MS Office Suite of products. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Master's Degree • Commercial Driver's License Candidates for this position will be considered from other PACCAR locations and potentially from outside the company. TESTS TO DETERMINE QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES Bachelor of Science in industry related field required, Master's degree preferred.
