Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5-10 years of experience in repair and preventive maintenance of fleet equipment.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience, preferably managing crews of six or more.
• ASE certification required; must obtain if not currently certified.
• Proficient in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• California Motor Vehicle Inspection License is mandatory.
• Valid California Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vehicle maintenance scheduling with the Maintenance Manager and supervisors.
• Review work orders for accuracy and ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate priorities and assignments to maintenance staff.
• Supervise and monitor employee productivity for timely job completion and clean-up activities.
• Manage and approve employee attendance and scheduling, balancing overtime needs.
• Train employees on vehicle service and repair protocols across various operations.
• Document and initiate disciplinary actions as necessary, maintaining fair practices.
• Analyze work-related issues and assist in resolving equipment malfunctions during shifts.
• Track work orders within the Fleet Focus Maintenance Management System and update reports.
• Enforce compliance with safety and operational policies to ensure efficient workflows.
