What You'll Do:
The Fleet Leader will oversee the activities of Driver Leaders and their respective teams of drivers to ensure the utmost in performance, and smooth driver and customer experience.
• Manage a community of Driver Leaders whose duties include management of Drivers and tractors to ensure success is achieved for customers and Drivers
• Manage work schedules including coverage for holidays, sick days, etc. for all employees
• Monitor employee and Driver performance through KPI and soft-skill management
• Enhance employee performance through coaching, mentoring and documentation
• Managing Driver's performance while promoting safe operations
• Monitor freight assigned to Drivers in order to ensure the highest level of service to our customers
• Be a leader of their team with strong work ethic & integrity
• Be able to fill-in for other business needs as warranted

• Monitor and Manage KPI' for P&L Fuel Management, and Utility.
• Collaborate with all levels of the organization to harness collective intelligence of the workforce.
• Attend and engage in all meetings and trainings on recent developments, goals, and objectives
• Build credibility and trust among managed employees by providing prompt and constructive feedback in office when observing such need
• Lead and facilitate regularly scheduled meetings and in-person trainings that harmonize collaboration internal to the department and external to other SBUs
• Determine best practices and reinforce constructive and positive feedback through face-to-face interactions with employees on the floor in real time
What We're Looking For:
Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience
• Minimum of 3 years in Operations including Customer Service, Fleet Management, or Load Planning required.
• Knowledge of DOT hours of service and how they apply to a Driver.
• XPM / Qtops (AS-400)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge:
• Customer & Personal Service/Building Relationships - knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes meeting quality standards for services.
• Public Safety & Security knowledge helpful - familiarity with relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
• Administration & Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
• Mathematics - knowledge of mathematics to solve problems.
• Computers and Electronics - knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications.
