I. Job Summary

Supervises the Fixed Asset Liaison team responsible for operational accounting support, capital governance, project accounting coordination, field relationship management, and capital request administration. Leads a team serving as the primary interface between field operations, engineering, project management, and corporate accounting. Ensures capital requests, projects, purchase orders, asset shells, and related accounting activities are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policy and capitalization requirements. The Liaison team serves as the coordination and governance layer between field operations and Corporate Accounting.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises and develops a team of Fixed Asset Liaisons supporting assigned operating areas, project managers, engineers, and functional groups.
  • Oversees intake, review, prioritization, and coordination of capital requests involving Fixed Assets, PPM, Coupa, ServiceNow, and related systems.
  • Ensures capital projects are evaluated and administered in accordance with WM capitalization policies and governance requirements.
  • Provides oversight of project setup, maintenance, closure, asset shell creation, and fixed asset transfer activities supporting capital project execution.
  • Oversees workload distribution, service level performance, and customer support activities across assigned areas.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with Area leadership, Controllers, Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders through regular communication and operational reviews.
  • Oversees monitoring and resolution of aged CIP balances, project exceptions, open requests, and reconciliation items.
  • Leads year-end capital governance activities, including project closeout, capitalization review, purchase order management, and readiness reporting.
  • Reviews service metrics, dashboard reporting, case quality, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Serves as escalation point for field questions, capital governance issues, funding concerns, and cross- functional coordination matters.
  • Trains, coaches, develops, and evaluates employees while promoting customer service, operational excellence, and policy compliance.

A. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, in Accounting, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree
  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of previous experience (in addition to education requirement)
