Chaparral is seeking an experienced Firestop Project Manager to lead project sales, operations, and client relations for various types of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Firestop Materials, Building Code requirements, Operations management, combined with excellent project management skills.

Position Description

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for Firestop projects.
  • Utilize the Chaparral internal estimating system to accurately estimate project costs, including labor, materials, and time requirements. Allocate resources effectively, managing staffing, materials, and equipment needs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlines. Supervise, mentor, and support project managers, site supervisors, and installation crews.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of productivity.
  • Track and report field productivity to corporate leadership. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate project requirements.
  • Ensure all Firestop work is completed according to industry standards, Building Code requirements, project specifications, and regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA, and company safety policies.
  • Manage project budgets, reviewing costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety.
  • Prepare and present monthly bills and financial reports
  • Anticipate potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Resolve project issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns
