Role Overview

In this leadership role, you will manage the electronic fire alarm and fire suppression delivery process while supporting customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, cost control, and district financial performance. You will lead project engineering, project management, order entry, installation, and technical installation support, working across the district to keep projects moving safely, accurately, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of fire alarm and fire suppression projects, from order entry through installation and warranty support.
  • Coordinate with sales to understand customer requirements, contractual obligations, and the best Johnson Controls solution for the job.
  • Oversee project engineering, submittals, CAD operations, technical support, installation schematics, and equipment delivery.
  • Manage installation planning, material purchasing, scheduling, labor planning, outside purchasing, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Partner with the service team to ensure a smooth and seamless project turnover.
  • Drive productivity improvements by setting expectations, measuring performance, and supporting employees in achieving quality and timeliness goals.
  • Lead personnel actions, goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and training support for subordinate employees.
  • Support safety compliance by maintaining current safety training, identifying hazards, and driving timely corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with headquarters, district teams, and customers on a day-to-day basis to support quality, profitability, and market reputation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How You Will Do It
  • Own the delivery outcome with accountability, safety, and integrity from order intake through warranty support.
  • Stay close to the customer and the work by maintaining clear two-way communication and resolving issues quickly.
  • Use candid problem-solving and continuous improvement to strengthen quality, productivity, and cost control every day.
  • Work as one team across sales, engineering, CAD, installation, service, headquarters, and the customer.
  • Balance quality and cost by managing work within an approved financial plan that covers direct costs, indirect costs, accounts receivable, and profitability.
  • Keep project execution disciplined by coordinating schedules, labor, purchasing, approvals, and technical support against changing job needs.

Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in district operation activities.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or engineering.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice to Have
  • NICET Level II Certification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective writing, speaking, and presentation ability.
  • Demonstrated management and leadership experience, including training, team building, presentation, negotiation, branch administration, and customer or company management interaction.
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows, Excel, and other Microsoft products.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
