Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Fire Service Supervisor to lead a field team of service technicians delivering timely, high-quality service to customers. This role combines people leadership, scheduling and dispatch support, customer engagement, and operational oversight to help drive service performance, service revenue growth, and a strong safety culture.
What you will do
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of field service technicians through goal setting, regular 1:1s, performance reviews, training, and mentorship.
  • Plan, prioritize, and dispatch service calls to support on-time arrival and first-time fix performance in partnership with service coordinators and schedulers.
  • Build strong customer relationships, respond to service needs, and identify opportunities to grow service business.
  • Promote a strong safety culture through safety training, job hazard analysis, incident investigation, and adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor service metrics such as response time, first-time fix rate, backlog, and on-time completion, then implement continuous improvement actions.
  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of service documentation, work orders, and reporting, including parts usage and warranty alignment.
  • Manage resources to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support service profitability, including assistance with quoting and pricing as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales, installation, engineering, and operations teams to resolve escalations and deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and development of technicians to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Maintain compliance with company, regulatory, and environmental standards while supporting service delivery across the Indianapolis area.

  • Own service outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity by setting clear expectations for your team and following through on commitments.
  • Stay close to the work and remove obstacles for customers by actively planning routes, balancing workloads, and supporting technicians in the field.
  • Use candid feedback, service data, and practical problem-solving to improve every day, turning job findings and performance metrics into actionable plans.
  • Win as one team by partnering closely with coordinators, sales, installation, engineering, operations, and technicians to solve problems quickly.
  • Spend time in the field with customer sites, service locations, and plants to reinforce standards, coach performance, and support audits.
  • Use scheduling systems, reporting tools, and basic analytics to track workload, productivity, and service outcomes.
  • Lead with a customer-focused mindset that balances quality, responsiveness, efficiency, and profitability.
What we look for

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in field service, maintenance, or a related industry, or demonstrated leadership experience within a technical environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Proficiency with scheduling systems, data reporting, and basic analytics tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel locally to customer sites across the Indianapolis, IN area.
  • Ability to work in field environments including customer sites, plants, and service locations.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and squatting.

  • Experience supporting hiring, onboarding, or technician development in a service environment.


HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,100 - $104,600 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
