What you will do

As a Field Project Manager for our Fire division, you will manage assigned fire projects of moderate complexity across the full project lifecycle. You will develop schedules, monitor budgets, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, and help ensure each project is delivered safely, on time, within scope, and with a focus on profitability and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead assigned Fire projects from initiation through closeout, maintaining control of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate project execution with customers, subcontractors, contractors, internal departments, and sales partners.
  • Monitor financial performance, including budgets, costs, forecasts, change orders, and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct project review and progress meetings and communicate status, risks, deliverables, and action items to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, safety requirements, customer specifications, and company procedures.
  • Manage procurement and delivery of equipment and materials to support installation schedules.
  • Resolve project challenges and make informed decisions to support project objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Support project documentation, reporting, invoicing, and closeout activities.
  • Build positive customer relationships and serve as a trusted point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
How You Will Do It
  • Own project outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity from kickoff through closeout.
  • Stay close to the work, remove obstacles quickly, and keep customers informed and supported.
  • Use clear, candid communication and structured problem-solving to improve schedule, cost, and delivery performance every day.
  • Work collaboratively across internal teams, contractors, subcontractors, and sales partners to deliver as one team.
  • Keep schedules, budgets, and documentation current so decisions are based on accurate project data.
  • Escalate risks early, follow through on action items, and maintain momentum through change and project complexity.
What we look for
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Fire Protection, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management, project coordination, or related experience managing commercial construction, fire alarm, security, or life safety projects.
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, resources, and customer relationships.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as required.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the Fire & Life Safety, Security, Construction, or Building Technologies industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progress toward certification.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm, suppression, security, or integrated building systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $72,000- $105,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
