Position Summary
Hanwha Defense USA is seeking a highly experienced Fire Control Lead to serve as the technical authority for fire control system development and integration for an Army ground vehicle program. This senior individual contributor role covers all aspects of weapon system integration, turret control functionality, sensing and sighting systems, ballistic computation, stabilization, targeting, and fire control software. The Fire Control Lead works extensively with systems engineering, mechanical and electrical engineering, software teams, test organizations, safety, and human factors to ensure the fire control system meets Army performance, reliability, and integration requirements.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead all fire control system engineering activities including weapon system integration, turret control systems, sensors, sighting devices, stabilization, ballistic computation, and fire control software.
• Develop fire control system architectures, performance specifications, interface definitions, and integration strategies for vehicle-level implementation.
• Coordinate integration of fire control subsystems with vehicle network architecture, power distribution, vetronics, C4ISR interfaces, safety systems, and mechanical turret assemblies.
• Oversee verification and validation processes including laboratory testing, HIL/SIL testing, vehicle integration testing, and live-fire or range-based evaluations.
• Collaborate closely with systems engineering to ensure fire control requirements are allocated, traceable, and met through design and testing activities.
• Work with software engineering to define control logic, algorithms, ballistic models, mode behavior, and system interfaces.
• Interface with mechanical, electrical, and turret engineering teams to ensure proper integration of sensors, drive systems, weapon mounts, and stabilization hardware.
• Support safety, human factors, and operational usability assessments related to fire control system performance and soldier interaction.
• Develop and maintain fire control technical documentation, including design artifacts, interface control documents, test plans, and performance analyses.
• Lead issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and corrective action development for fire control failures or integration challenges.
• Participate in design reviews, technical interchange meetings, government working groups, and program-level integration sessions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Army fire control principles, vehicle integration guidelines, and defense-industry engineering practices.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Extensive experience with fire control systems, turret systems, weapon integration, or sighting/stabilization technologies for military ground vehicles or defense systems.
• Strong understanding of ballistic computation, control systems, stabilization technologies, and sensor integration.
• Proven ability to interpret and develop system requirements, interface specifications, and fire control performance criteria.
• Experience leading fire control testing activities including lab, vehicle, and live-fire evaluations.
• Excellent collaboration skills with software, mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, and test teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience resolving complex integration issues.
• U.S. citizenship required; security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting or integrating fire control systems on tracked or wheeled military vehicles.
• Background in vetronics, vehicle network interfaces, or mission system integration related to fire control.
• Familiarity with Army fire control practices, targeting and acquisition systems, or turret design.
• Experience with simulation, HIL/SIL test environments, or ballistic modeling tools.
