Position Overview

We are looking for a Fire Alarm Estimator / Sales Representative to join our team in Denver, CO to pursue fire alarm installation projects of all sizes. We take pride in delivering excellent customer service and support to our existing customers and your primary focus will be to cultivate and nurture strong client relationships. Your goal is to secure new installation contracts for new and repeat clients for a variety of construction projects ranging from tenant improvements to new construction. District Overview

A subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, Aero Automatic Sprinkler Company is one of the Southwest's largest and most-respected fire protection contractors. With its roots in Phoenix, AZ, Aero also operates through branch offices in Colorado. Aero offers complete services for all construction market types and any size project as well as complete testing and maintenance services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers interested in purchasing design and installation of fire alarm systems.
  • Demonstrate products or services and provide assistance in the best application of products or services.
  • Maintain knowledge and have a clear understanding on the application of all local and national codes, specifications, and guidelines set forth by authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Apply knowledge of NFPA standards to analyze hazards and identify appropriate design approach.
  • Read and comprehend plans and specifications.
  • Produce detailed cost estimates including design, materials, equipment, permits, subcontracts, consulting fees, and installation labor.
  • Prepare proposals with technical detail to identify scope of services being provided.
  • Negotiate, review, and execute price and terms of agreements.
  • Meet with contractors and subcontractors on site to review site conditions and discuss bid scope when necessary.
  • Participate in pre-bid, pre-construction, and post project completion meetings.
  • Meet productivity and timeline goals for bids produced.
  • Travel as necessary to meet with clients in our region.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in estimating and/or sales within the fire protection industry.
    • Experience estimating/selling Alarm or Low Voltage systems highly prefered
  • NICET certification or the strong commitment to gain certification.
  • Experience with Test & Inspection is highly desired
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and possess a strong drive to win new business.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and provide excellent customer service while building our customer base.
  • Experience with estimating functions and developing technical proposals
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Thorough understanding of general construction methods, practices, and terminology.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of local and national fire and building codes & government regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Base Compensation: $89,706 - $137,810
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
