Job Description
As the Fintech Sales Manager 1 within Sage's North America Fintech organization, you will lead a team of Fintech Account Executives responsible for driving the adoption and growth of Sage's fintech solutions across our customer base and partner ecosystem.

You will be responsible for coaching and developing a high-performing sales team while establishing the operating cadence, culture, and execution model that will support the continued growth of Sage's fintech business.

The ideal candidate brings experience in fintech, payments, financial technology, or SaaS sales, along with a passion for coaching people, developing talent, and building strong cross-functional relationships.

This leader thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building scalable processes, and leads with collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.

This is a unique opportunity to help build and scale Sage's North America fintech sales organization during an exciting period of growth and innovation.

This is a hybrid position reporting into one of Sage's designated North America office locations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5-6 Fintech Account Executives to achieve fintech pipeline, revenue, and customer adoption objectives.
• Recruit, onboard, mentor, and retain high-performing sales professionals while fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
• Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecast reviews, opportunity coaching, and career development conversations.
• Establish consistent operating rhythms, performance expectations, and sales best practices across the team.
• Partner closely with Sales leadership to increase fintech adoption and attachment across Sage's customer base.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and Strategic Partnerships to improve execution and customer outcomes.
• Act as an escalation point for complex customer opportunities while supporting strategic account planning.
• Monitor key business metrics, forecast performance, and provide regular updates to Fintech leadership.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
• Support field enablement, onboarding, customer events, and strategic initiatives that accelerate the growth of Sage's fintech business.

Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years of quota-carrying experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, ERP, accounting software, financial technology, or related industries.
• Previous experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or developing quota-carrying sales professionals.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing sales talent.
• Proven experience engaging executive-level stakeholders, including CFOs, Controllers, finance leaders, and business owners.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust across teams and stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, Professional Services, and Partner organizations.
• Experience managing forecasting, pipeline reviews, performance metrics, and business planning.
• Demonstrated success operating within high-growth or rapidly evolving organizations.
• Experience with accounts payable automation, B2B payments, embedded payments, ERP software, or financial operations technology is strongly preferred.
