Position Description:

CGI is seeking a FinOps & Infrastructure Financial Analyst to deliver cost transparency, financial modeling, and optimization support across on premises and cloud environments. This role partners closely with engineering, operations, finance, and leadership to model total cost of ownership (TCO), quantify cost savings opportunities, guide investment decisions, and communicate financial insights in clear executive ready language.

**This position is located on site in Woodlawn, MD 5 days/week**

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Calculate and model cost savings across hardware, software, maintenance, and operations.
. Build and maintain Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI based financial models and dashboards.
. Develop financial structures and comparisons for CapEx and OpEx across cloud and on prem solutions.
. Construct total cost of ownership (TCO) and return on investment (ROI) models for virtualization platforms.
. Forecast budgets for maintenance renewals, hardware refresh cycles, and multi year spending projections.
. Apply knowledge of VMware virtualization architecture to understand cost impacts of design decisions.
. Assess storage, compute, and network virtualization factors - including dedupe, compression, and scalability - and quantify their cost implications.
. Translate technical cost savings data into clear, concise executive level summaries and recommendations.
. Evaluate vendor proposals, licensing models, and platform options for financial impacts and risks.
. Collaborate with PMO, engineering, procurement, and finance to ensure consistent financial assumptions and alignment with program goals.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. Ability to obtain and maintain US Public Trust Clearance
. Bachelor's degree + 7 years IT experience
. Ability to calculate and model cost savings across infrastructure components and operational domains.
. Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools for modeling and data visualization.
. Strong understanding of CapEx vs. OpEx financial structures.
. Experience building TCO and ROI models for infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
. Experience with budget forecasting for maintenance renewals, lifecycle refreshes, and multi year projections.
. Familiarity with VMware virtualization architecture and cost related architectural considerations.
. Understanding of storage, compute, and network virtualization fundamentals and associated cost factors.
. Experience analyzing vendor proposals and licensing models.
. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief leadership clearly.

Desired qualifications/non essential skills required:
. Experience with cloud cost management or FinOps tooling.
. Familiarity with showback/chargeback models and tagging standards.
. Understanding of VMware licensing constructs and common technical configurations.
. Exposure to ITIL practices, PMO financial controls, or public sector procurement requirements.
. Experience working with or validating large datasets.
. Relevant certifications such as FinOps, VMware, BI tools, CPA/CFA/CFM.

To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $156,700.00.
