Financial Systems and Analytics Advisor

Location: Edmonton, Alberta; Bolton, Ontario; Calgary, Alberta

Main purpose of the Role: The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for financial and operational reporting, regulatory compliance, and reporting accuracy. This role requires strong technical skills in SQL, Oracle, ERP systems, and proficiency in web reporting technologies including Power BI and Prophix for budgeting and forecasting. The analyst will collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to maintain data integrity, streamline reporting processes, and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure systems are designed and tested to support accuracy and timeliness of internal and external reporting
  • Design, build, and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards using ERP systems, Power BI, Prophix, and be nimble with other modern web technologies like Microsoft Static Web Apps.
  • Utilize SQL and other data languages to extract, manipulate, and validate data on modern data platforms such as Databricks.
  • Support external audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to optimize reporting processes and system efficiency.
  • Assist in implementing best practices for data governance and reporting standards.
