CSCI Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented professional to help manage, support, and enhance a Department of Defense financial system, while providing hands-on support and training to users across the organization. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial data remains accurate, reliable, and meaningful - driving better decisions and mission success.
Responsibilities- Provide ongoing support for the organization's enterprise financial systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP)
- Review and correct data issues to ensure financial accuracy and consistency
- Develop and update easy-to-follow training materials and user guides
- Provide one-on-one and group training sessions to help staff use financial tools effectively
- Track and communicate system issues, updates, and resolutions with leadership and project teams
- Monitor key financial reports and performance indicators to identify and resolve recurring problems
- Support fiscal year close-out activities and assist with the preparation of new-year financial reporting
- Manage system access requests, ensuring users have proper permissions and required training
- Support regular system maintenance and data validation to maintain accurate and reliable financial information
Minimum Requirements- Active SECRET security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 8+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience supporting financial systems or accounting processes within the DoD or another government organization
- Experience with SAP-based systems (GFEBS/SAP-ERP preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data lookups), Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain technical details clearly to non-technical audiences
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
Preferred Skills- Experience working with Special Operations Forces (SOF) or SOCOM organizations
- Background in financial data analysis, training, or customer support
- Proficiency with Power BI, Power Query, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data modeling, visualization, and automation)
- Familiarity with government financial systems and documentation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Commitment to learning new technologies and improving business processes
- Department of Defense experience is a plus
