Job Description

The Financial Specialist will develop and manage secure financial mechanisms that allow for the secure disbursement of funds to multiple teams located worldwide in support of a federal project. This role reports to the Senior Operations Manager and coordinates with the Project Manager and Project Officer to ensure funds are disbursed in a secure and timely manner. The Financial Specialist will account for all funds, maintain financial records, and provide monthly reports to the Project Manager. The Financial Manger ensures teams are properly funded to ensure successful project delivery in a complex federal contracting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the timely disbursement of funds to project teams
  • Create, develop, and manage secure funding mechanisms that can support project teams across multiple complex environments
  • Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and monitor funding mechanisms
  • Build and maintain unique financial books to ensure proper accounting of all funds
  • Prepare financial reports, and briefings on funding mechanisms

Here's What You Need
  • Individual must have 15+ years of experience in the following areas:
    • Sensitive operational and inter agency support
    • Finance and Accounting
    • HUMINT, Signature reduction support and infrastructure development
    • Experience in risk management/reduction
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field; or 4 years additional equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a federal contracting environment
  • Proven ability to interface effectively with personnel at all organizational levels, both technical and non technical

  • Familiarity with federal contracting environments, governance processes, and compliance requirements
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment with the ability to handle stressful situations
  • Be able to communicate details clearly and effectively verbally as well as in writing
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively follow-through and manage reporting and project communications

  • Top Secret clearance or higher required

The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
