Full Job Description
As a Financial Planner within Empower's dedicated services model, you will go beyond planning to help participants take action and achieve meaningful financial outcomes. You'll engage clients across Empower's Large to Mega plan segment, providing in-depth financial guidance and positioning Empower's solutions to help them reach their goals. This role combines expertise with a proactive, consultative mindset-driving results through education, relationship building, and personalized financial strategies that reflect Empower's mission of improving financial wellness for all. This position will be working with employees of a major employer in the New York City metropolitan area. The selected candidate must be able to travel to client sites as needed. What you will do • Deliver comprehensive, financial plans that drive measurable outcomes for participants within Empower's dedicated service model • Lead proactive, needs-based conversations to uncover client goals and position appropriate Empower products and services that support their objectives • Provide education and actionable guidance on topics such as managed accounts (My Total Retirement), rollovers, investment allocations, savings strategies, HSAs, and retirement income planning • Act as an Investment Adviser Representative for Empower Advisory Group, offering tailored investment recommendations and leveraging Empower's managed account platform • Apply the CONSULT model to build trust and guide participants toward clear financial decisions • Conduct outreach to current and former providers to facilitate client-directed transactions and ensure seamless implementation • Document interactions accurately and efficiently using Salesforce and other internal systems • Contribute to a culture of learning by sharing insights, strategies, and success stories with your peers • Deliver a high-touch, ongoing service experience that supports clients before and after retirement What you will bring • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience (MBA preferred) • Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation required • FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required • FINRA fingerprinting required • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or the 401(k) industry • At least 2 years of direct financial planning experience • Proven ability to analyze and communicate a client's complete financial picture, including investments, insurance, tax strategy, education planning, retirement, and estate considerations What will set you apart • A results-driven mindset with a passion for helping clients take action and achieve measurable progress toward their goals • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to match client needs to Empower's suite of solutions • Exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills that build confidence and trust • Self-motivated and proactive approach to identifying opportunities and following through on commitments • Proven track record of achieving multi-product sales goals within a client-focused environment • Comfortable using digital tools, CRM systems (Salesforce), and financial planning software in a fully paperless environment • Ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performing, team-based service model • Commitment to Empower's purpose of guiding participants toward long-term financial confidence #PJPW #PJHTF #LI-Remote What we offer you We offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all. Base Salary Range $87,400.00 - $123,400.00 The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
