About the RoleThe Financial Data & Accounting Lead leads budget-execution and accounting-data analysis for the ARNG G8 RMIC program, identifying abnormal conditions and unmatched transactions, supporting remediation, and ensuring the integrity of data migrating from legacy systems into the Army's general ledger.
What You'll Do- Conduct detailed reviews of budget-execution and accounting data to flag abnormal conditions, unmatched transactions, and variances requiring Government correction.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures, training materials, and automation approaches (RPA/AI/ML) to streamline data sanitization and improve future efficiency.
- Perform data cleansing, profiling, validation, and transformation to support data migration from legacy systems to the Army's general ledger.
- Maintain a standardized data model and data ontology, and document processes, findings, and adjustments for each data migration effort.
- Collaborate with Defense Finance and Accounting Service and Army offices to deliver audit-ready, compliant financial data.
- Support data analytics and dashboard development contributing to executive-level RMIC performance metrics.
Required QualificationsEducation- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience- 8+ years of experience with GFEBS and/or DoD financial-management systems.
- Direct experience with financial data reconciliation, remediation, and audit-readiness support.
- Experience with data cleansing and migration-integrity efforts in a federal financial environment.
Technical Skills- Direct GFEBS and DoD financial-systems experience.
- Proficiency in financial data analysis, reconciliation, and remediation techniques.
- Familiarity with DoD Financial Management Regulations (FMR) and Federal Data Standards.
- CGFM, CPA, or similar financial-management credentials are beneficial.
Soft Skills- Strong attention to detail when reviewing high-volume financial data.
- Clear written communication for documenting findings and adjustments.
- Ability to work collaboratively with Defense Finance and Accounting Service and Army stakeholders.
Status: Contingency - This position is contingent upon contract award and successful completion of a favorable background investigation and adjudication of the required SECRET security clearance prior to reporting to the worksite.
Salary: $100,000-$125,000
