Description

Responsible to provide Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) with assistance in achieving and maintaining auditable financial statements.  Assist the Government in providing and applying innovative methodologies to rapidly and efficiently conduct activities necessary to identify and improve logistics assessable unit (AU) deficiencies in accordance with Office of Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) (OUSD(C)) Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) guidance.  Provide  support for USSOCOM requirements for full financial statement audits.  Work as part of an integrated team composed of Seller and Government personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team comprised of government personnel to achieve Key Tasks. The integrated team is responsible for producing and the timely delivery of the deliverables.
  • Support Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR) Testing and Reporting Efforts. The goal of this effort is to collect, and input requested documentation via the audit tool in response to auditor requests.
  • Support FIAR Correction Efforts. The goal of this FIAR corrective measure effort is to design solutions for implementation to mitigate deficiencies for final control activities, processes, supporting documentation and/or systems.  Employee will support the government with meaningful corrective action plans for addressing deficiencies. Responsible for working with the Government personnel to execute the corrective plans as well as aiding with ensuring the success of the corrective actions.
  • Support Audit Examinations and Site Visit Efforts. Compile a complete audit-ready process and systems documentation that reflects the current, integrated process environment and documents the existence of sufficient and appropriate supporting documentation to permit the Government to support the audit, including the Component Liaison Team (CLT), Audit Liaison Team (ALT), Audit Sustainment Team and Independent Public Auditor (IPA).  This effort involves compiling of USSOCOM and USAF logistics systems and processing documentation as well as supporting documentation.
  • Support Audit Sustainment Efforts. The goal of audit sustainment effort is to prepare and/or update processes, controls, and testing documentation as well as perform ongoing remediation for deficiencies noted to ensure auditability of financial statements is maintained.  It is also to train government personnel at subordinate units on the audit process and expectations particularly with military turnover Employee shall work as a team comprised of Government personnel to achieve Key Tasks.  The integrated team is responsible for producing and the timely delivery of deliverables.
