Financial Analyst

Lead I - Business Analysis

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst level with expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Consolidations to join our dynamic finance team. This role requires a strategic thinker who thrives on independence, demonstrates strong project management capabilities, and has a passion for process optimization and system improvements.

The opportunity:
• Financial Planning & Analysis

o Perform spend analytics in a meaningful way that takes into account business understanding towards actionable insights

o Perform regular predictive financial modeling, monitoring outcomes, and refining the model

o Interpret financial results into insights and recommendations for presentation to executives

o Analyze variances and identify key drivers impacting business results.
• Consolidations

o Manage financial consolidations across multiple entities for financial cycles 5x per quarter.

o Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal reporting standards.

o Partner with accounting teams to streamline close processes and improve accuracy.
• Process & System Improvements

o Demonstrated knowledge and skill set using SAP, BPC and Anaplan to drive system process optimization

o Lead initiatives to enhance financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows.

o Identify automation opportunities and implement best practices for efficiency.

o Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to optimize ERP and planning platforms.
• Project Management

o Drive finance-related projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

o Develop project plans, manage timelines, and communicate progress effectively.

What you need:
• Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree, CPA, CFA preferred) - Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business-related degree preferred
• 5-10 years of experience in Finance/Accounting for reputable firms
• Strong communication and persuasion skills
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and planning tools (Anaplan, SAP BPC).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools and concepts; SQL or data architecture experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement and system enhancement projects.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: California

Compensation Range: $73,000-$110,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

Part-time employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
