What will you do in this position?- Support financial strategy and policy development by compiling, reviewing, and analyzing City financial data and operational reports; monitor updates, evaluate information, recommend actions, and prepare forecasts and reports.
- Conduct detailed operating and capital budget analysis, including review of expenditures and revenue trends, and reconciliation of data from multiple sources.
- Assess operational changes and trends, estimate fiscal impacts, and develop supporting analysis and narrative for program plans and funding requests.
- Provide consultation to City staff on financial, budgeting, accounting, and technical matters by researching issues, identifying solutions, and offering guidance on procedures and account-related questions.
- Assist in preparing financial analyses and reports, including the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and help interpret and communicate City policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
