Financial Analyst, Senior

Location & Flexibility

You'll have the option to be based at UPMC Altoona, UPMC Somerset, UPMC Bedford, or UPMC Western Maryland. In this role, you'll collaborate across our network, traveling to the other three locations approximately 10%-20% of the time. We also value work-life balance, offering flexibility to work from home 1-2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Interpret Financial Data: Analyze and interpret complex financial transactions and events to support strategic decision-making.
Mentorship: Provide functional advice and training to less experienced financial analysts and administrative staff.
Data Analysis: Extract and define relevant financial information to assess past performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
Advanced Reporting: Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis.
Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical, cost, and financial analysis using data from various financial systems.
Transaction Management: Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Cost Studies: Plan and conduct in-depth studies to determine the cost of business activities, and recommend budget adjustments and cost-saving measures.
