Full Job Description
This is a consulting seat inside the operating business.
Operations Support exists to make operators better at running their locations. This role brings financial lenses to that work. You will sit alongside operations leadership as a strategic advisor, translating financial results into the operational decisions that produced them and the ones that should follow.
That means owning the operating forecast for a portfolio of locations, but the forecast is the starting point, not the deliverable. The value you create is in the conversation after: this margin moved because of that staffing decision, this location's rate structure is leaving money on the table, this initiative will pay back in seven months if we sequence it this way.
We are also rebuilding how planning gets done. AI is being integrated into forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting workflows, and it is already how the team works day to day. If you tend to automate the work you would otherwise repeat, you will have room to do that here.
We are looking to add a Financial Analyst to our team!
LOCATION: Remote
REPORTS TO: Manager/Director, Operation Support
PAY: $85K - $90K / salary
CORE RESPONSIBILITES:
Strategic consulting to operations
• Serve as the finance partner to a group of operating leaders, the person they call before making a decision rather than after
• Connect financial results to the operational levers behind them: staffing and scheduling, capacity utilization, pricing and rate structure, service mix, retention
• Diagnose variances to operational root cause and bring a recommended action rather than only an explanation of the variance
• Pressure-test growth initiatives, capital requests, and new service offerings with clear, defensible economics.
• Build financial fluency in the operators you support, so better decisions get made without you in the room
Forecasting and planning
• Own the monthly and quarterly operating forecast for an assigned portfolio, including revenue drivers, labor, and controllable expense
• Build and maintain driver-based models grounded in operating metrics such as volume, capacity, rate, and mix rather than historical trend
• Lead forecast review conversations: what changed, why, and what it means for the business.
• Support the annual budget and long-range planning cycles
Reporting and Automation
• Build and improve recurring reporting and executive materials that operators and leadership actually use to run the business
• Identify manual work in the planning and reporting process and eliminate it through better model design or AI-assisted workflows
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
• 2-3 years in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, transaction advisory, or a comparable analytical role
• Advanced Excel. Strong financial modeling skills and genuine fluency. You can build a model someone else can pick up and use
• Strong PowerPoint. You can turn an analysis into a clear, well-built deck for an operating or executive audience without significant rework
• The ability to trace a financial outcome back to the operational decisions that caused it, and to explain that chain to a non-financial operator clearly and without condescension
• Comfort working with imperfect data and the judgment to know when a number is good enough to act on
• Curiosity about AI and automation, and a track record of teaching yourself tools rather than waiting to be trained
• Directness. You will be asked what you think, and the expectation is that you answer.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in multi-unit or multi-site operations such as retail, healthcare, hospitality, restaurants, or services
• Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or similar
• Experience with Planful or another FP&A planning platform such as Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or Vena
• Experience with acquisition integration or standing up reporting for newly acquired locations
• Practical experience applying AI tools to finance or planning workflows
What Success Looks Like
By 90 days: You own your portfolio's forecast independently, and operators come to you directly rather than through your manager.
By 6 months: Operators are bringing you decisions before they make them. You've eliminated meaningful manual effort from at least one recurring process.
By 12 months: You've measurably influenced operating performance in your portfolio and changed how the broader team connects financial results to operational action.
Why This Role
• Influence, not reporting. You are positioned as an advisor to the operators, with a seat at the decision rather than a summary of it after the fact.
• Real scope. Ownership of a portfolio from day one, in a business growing both organically and through acquisition.
• Visibility. You will present to senior leadership early and often. Your work will not be relayed upward by someone else.
• A team investing in how it works. We are actively building AI into our planning and reporting stack. You will help shape that, not inherit it.
• A clear path forward. This role is designed as a step toward Senior Analyst and beyond, in a finance organization that is still growing.
PERKS:
• Health, vision, dental, long & short-term disability, and Life insurance
• A Startup mentality company with stable funding
• 401k match
• Pet Care discounts
• Flexible Time Off
• Opportunity to grow your career with a network of like-minded professionals
