Position Description

The Financial Analyst supports financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and operational analysis activities across the organization. This role works closely with finance and business teams to provide accurate reporting, analyze business performance, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and assist with financial decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare recurring financial reports, forecasts, and analyses.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Analyze revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, and operating expenses.
• Assist with project and business-unit financial performance monitoring.
• Track and report key performance indicators and operational metrics.
• Perform variance analysis and investigate significant financial trends.
• Support financial modeling, data analysis, and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Assist with procurement, vendor, and project-related financial analysis.
• Help maintain forecasting tools, reporting databases, and financial dashboards.
• Support working capital initiatives, including accounts receivable, collections analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Participate in financial close activities and reconciliation support as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy and process efficiency.
• Assist with internal controls, audit requests, and compliance-related activities.
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, economics, business administration or related field and 2-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounting Principles (GAAP, IAS, FARS, ERISA and IRS)
  • In-depth knowledge of financial operations and ability to apply working knowledge of operational efficiency principles and best practices
  • Able to conduct analytical review, auditing, and forecasting
  • High degree of organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Must have proficiency in financial systems applications with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little or no supervision while working in complex and changing environment
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion with ability to identify problems and initiate corrective action
  • Strong dedication to teamwork and commitment to work within professional environment across departments.

The salary range for this position in NYC and NJ isestimated to be $90K to 140K. Actual compensation packages within that range arebased on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but notlimited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, andspecific location.
