Fives Group is seeking a Financial Analyst

Position Overview The Financial Analyst serves as a strategic business partner, delivering comprehensive financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role is responsible for executing financial close processes, preparing accurate reports, managing balance sheet activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and governance standards. The position requires identifying opportunities for process improvement while demonstrating leadership qualities and upholding the highest professional standards.

Job Responsibilities
The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.
• Analyze financial performance, key drivers, and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
• Partner with business leaders to support operational decisions, investments, and strategic initiatives.
• Clearly understand interdependencies of financial statements and communicate financial implications to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Lead preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments with a strong analytical understanding of results. Review financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and meaningful interpretation.
• Explain complex variances and emerging trends to management.
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and multi-scenario models.
• Perform detailed variance and sensitivity analyses, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Monitor performance against targets and proactively flag issues.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, capitalization decisions, and depreciation analysis.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate complex variances.
• Support statutory reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements as needed.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Strengthen financial controls, documentation, and reporting consistency.
• Mentor and provide guidance to Financial Analyst I or junior team members.
• Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects requiring advanced financial analysis.
• Serve as a role model for analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Education/ Qualifications/ Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or accounting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP and planning tools preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and advise business partners.
• Understand and articulate how business systems and processes interrelate
• Handles highly confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism.
