As a Financial Analyst II at Amazon, you will build financial models and reports that answer critical business questions, influence leadership decisions, and strengthen financial integrity. Key job responsibilities

- Build and maintain financial models and reports to address complex business questions, converting data into actionable findings and recommendations that inform leadership decision-making.

- Proactively audit financial data for accuracy, identify root causes of discrepancies, and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.

- Lead projects that automate processes, reduce defects, and improve controllership, delivering measurable results that scale across the organization.

- Assess and remediate control risks by proposing and implementing improvements to financial processes, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.

- Communicate financial analysis clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance partners, supporting data-driven conversations at the senior manager level and above.

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing key financial reports, verifying data accuracy and flagging anything that needs a deeper look. By mid-morning, you are collaborating with business partners to understand emerging trends and refine your financial models. Afternoons may include presenting your analysis to senior leaders, working on an automation project to streamline a recurring report, or mentoring a newer team member. You regularly connect with colleagues across finance to share best practices and contribute to community initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- MBA, or CPA

- Knowledge of Tableau

- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
